Quest for 50 Logo Challenge FAIL

So a little while ago, I began “The Quest for 50 Logo Challenge.” Seemed like an easy enough challenge to get a couple of submissions at the least. After all, I know quite a few graphic designers and creatives who would possibly pass it along. Besides, it’d be a fun little aside and possible opportunity for a graphic designer to get some additional exposure.

The verdict: FAIL.

If I were a bigger deal (my house doesn’t smell of rich mahogany, alas), I would say it’s a FAIL of epic proportions, but I won’t go that far. But needless to say, I expected something by now, even if it was fat guy with an arrow pointing to a stick figure with a question mark over the head–now that’s not a bad idea… but I digress.

So let me ask:

  • Was it the poor method of payment?
  • Was it the topic to cover in the design?
  • Was it simply bad timing with the beginning of the new year/decade?

Anyway, I guess it doesn’t matter really what the reasons are. The point is this little experiment of mine was a colossal failure.

(By the way, there is no deadline for the logo design. After all I’m not going to lose 50 pounds in a month. So if you get the urge to design one, send it my way to questfor50challenge@gmail.com.)

Anyway, to ease my monstrous disappointment, I decided to get Rick Roll’d:

Well, my big problem is the utter lack of talent I posses… Maybe that’s the bigger problem here. :-)

John: Haha, well that would be a problem. Pretty much the same issue I have. Hence why my blog’s header is so… uhm… “sophisticated.”

Appreciate the comment!
